Cookie Policy

Effective Date: August 5, 2026
Applies to: https://infra.page, the infrapage dashboard, and public pages we serve

1. The Short Version

A public infrapage dashboard sets no cookies. If you are just looking at someone's page, you leave with an empty cookie jar.

Cookies appear only once you sign in to an account, and then only the ones needed to keep you signed in.

Our analytics is cookieless — it stores nothing on your device — so there is no analytics cookie to list, and no consent banner is required for it.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They may be:

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies — stored until they expire or you delete them
  • First-party cookies — set by the site you are visiting
  • Third-party cookies — set by an external service embedded in it

3. What We Set

Cookie Type Purpose Consent required Expiry
Session cookie Strictly necessary, first-party Keeps you signed in to the dashboard after authentication. ❌ No — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, § 25(2) TDDDG Ends with the session; renewed while you stay active

There are no analytics cookies, no marketing cookies, no advertising pixels, no tag manager and no session recording anywhere on the service.

Local storage

§ 25 TDDDG covers anything stored on your device, not only cookies, so two entries we keep in your browser's local storage belong here as well. Neither is an identifier and neither is ever sent to us as tracking data:

Key Purpose Consent required Expiry
infrapage-theme Remembers light or dark mode, so the page does not flash the wrong theme before it loads. Written only when you use the theme toggle. ❌ No — the direct result of a setting you chose Until you clear it
ip_pending_scan Holds a scan you started while you are sent to sign in, so it is still there when you come back instead of being lost to the round trip. ❌ No — strictly necessary to complete what you asked for Deleted as soon as the scan is restored

You can clear both at any time through your browser's site-data controls.

4. Third-Party Services

Which of our providers can place a cookie, and when:

Service Purpose Sets a cookie? Policy
Umami (self-hosted) Page-view statistics No — cookieless by design umami.is
FerrisKey (self-hosted) Authentication Only as part of signing in ferriskey.rs
Polar Billing and subscriptions Only on Polar's own checkout pages, when you go there to pay polar.sh
bunny.net Content delivery for connected custom domains No cookie; it processes connection data to deliver the page bunny.net
Sentry Server-side error reporting No — it runs on our server, not in your browser sentry.io
Scaleway Transactional email No — email involves no browser scaleway.com
SeggWat Feedback button, where enabled Only if you open it and interact seggwat.com

Under the GDPR and § 25 TDDDG — the German implementation of the ePrivacy Directive, formerly TTDSG — information may be stored on or read from your device only where it is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, or where you have given prior consent.

  • The session cookie is strictly necessary to keep you signed in: § 25(2)(2) TDDDG, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Without it, signing in does not work, so consent would be meaningless.
  • The two local-storage entries are likewise strictly necessary or the direct result of a choice you made, and neither identifies you.
  • Everything else would need consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, which is why we do not do it.

6. Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in; nothing else is affected, and public pages keep working normally.

7. Updates

We will update this policy if our cookie usage changes. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
